Auto Biographical Vinyl
This is my introduction.
Yep
What follows are pictures of sketchbook pages. Sketches of mine tend to work like writing in a journal, as a personal illustration. Not all of my creations are self reflective, and that includes the occasional page inside my journal. Below are a few pages I consider to qualify for the vinyl guidelines.
The bee and the wasp. Two impertinent insects in north america with a presence about them. Both behave in their own separate manner. I respect one and despise the other for what each represents. As opposed as they are, these two share a talent for progress. I believe in balancing respect from the bee and arrogance from the wasp while borrowing their talent for production.
Pairing #2.
A blue whale is known for its size. I do not propose to be as tall, or as composedly serene but I am hopeful, so I make the comparison anyway. The orca swims in similar waters with high status and a presence greater than many persons on land. Again I do not directly compare, (apples to oranges) but I choose to embody what is comfortable and I enjoy presence.
Alligator or Crocodile?
I googled it and still could not identify with certainty. The indicators seem to bear exceptions. Thick skin and short tempered. The contradiction is potent. I wont let much get to me, it takes sharpness to penetrate my defenses but I'm scrappy anyway.
A 50's robot
He's old fashioned, sure, but operates well with tech. I think that sums it up but I'd like to add that I've installed my first part. A metal plate and some screws attached to my humerus during surgery.
Top page: 'Nother bot, and the scar from my surgery
Bottom Page: Tree upon a hill and a leaf
The robot is reoccuring, I often write of mech's like this one in short stories. The scar marks my body like a tattoo and the form works well with design.
The tree and the leaf are organic representations. I consider myself natural above anything else.
Planar nose
Geometry is in and attractive. Plus the linear planes translate well into digital consistency. It's my nose, albeit scribbled poorly. Distinct as a representation of my prominent features, long and sticks out.
Simplified fingerprints are a literal translation of identity. Nobody can claim to bear one of my prints. If this makes it I'll be printing my print. I don't really like that, I'm possessive.
